Eddie morrisCan't rate the atmosphere as it was delivered. But, the south west egg rolls were good. The filling and aioli sauce were great. Would like rolls fried for 30 seconds to a minute more, just to get that super crisp. 24 wing flavor was great. Had the hot Leon pepper, lemon pepper, reaper, and hottaki. Pay the dollar extra for wet. Keeping the original post but this experience was underwhelming. Lightly sauced and cooked. Consistency may be a problem. Had the reaper, hot, and garlic hot. Had to airfry and create my own buffalo butter sauce.

Tanya HaynesQuiet and cozy. Easy to find. Delicious and hot food. A small wait at the bar because only one person working but she has great customer service skills to make up for it. Will visit again.

MichaelI have been eating and drinking here for years. It's time for an honest assessment. I love this place. Aside from the occasional dip (like 1 in several dozen times) it's great food, service and value. Excellent food. We especially like the wings, catfish and shrimp and grits. My mom (rest her soul) loved the shrimp and grits.... that's something most couldn't do. I recommend Tailrace Tavern 💯. A+++ while I'm at it... I would like to thank the staff, cooks, bartenders, and owners! We love y'all. Just a suggestion, if you have a large group call in advance and they will accommodate you and make it easy for everyone to enjoy.

Jesse KerseyI recently visited Tail Race Tavern and had a really enjoyable experience overall. The food was excellent, with everything we ordered being fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. It’s always a great sign when the food stands out, and Tail Race Tavern definitely delivered in that department. The service was also excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. Good service can make a big difference when dining out, and the team at Tail Race Tavern made us feel welcome and taken care of. The atmosphere was another highlight. The restaurant has a nice, comfortable atmosphere that makes it a great place to get together, enjoy a meal, and spend time with friends and family. There was a lively energy in the restaurant, which added to the overall experience. My only criticism was the volume of the live band. While I enjoy live music and think it adds a lot to the atmosphere, the band was overly loud during our visit. It made it difficult to carry on a conversation at the table without having to raise our voices. Turning the volume down just a little would make the experience even better and allow customers to enjoy both the music and their conversations. Overall, I would definitely recommend Tail Race Tavern. The excellent food, great service, and enjoyable atmosphere make it a place worth visiting. With just a little adjustment to the live music volume, I think it would be an even better dining experience. I look forward to coming back again! The fries with beer cheese, ranch and bacon were good but would be way better with home fries instead of frozen bag fries. I got 12 wings hot honey and mango habanero sauces good kick and cooked well.
