Great local Museum with interesting exhibits, highly recommend visiting Fort Fairlawn while you're there. It's a real Revolutionary War redoubt👍👍
Jan 7, 2026 · Google ReviewPlenty to see and do at this Museum. Even my very picky kids loved this place. Beautifully located!
Aug 11, 2025 · Google ReviewAn impressive place to visit. The museum is filled with historical information and artifacts and well laid out to cover the different eras. I appreciate the inclusion of the African American presence in the exhibits. There's a section dedicated to Maude Callen a nurse and midwife that provided much needed medical care to the area residents. The museum also had information on the Black Dragoons a military unit of Black soldiers from South Carolina that fought with the British. There's also a section to recognize Felix Ferguson a local soldier who served during World War One. This is must see if you are in the area. My family and I enjoyed it and left educated on the significant contributions of South Carolinians in history.
