Nicole NeubauerRustic local diner. Local hangout but where you get offered tomato from the table beside you. And you are told when you walk in to sit where you want by the customers. We'll worth the 8 mile detour from the interstate. Hubby enjoyed his cheese and sausage omlete with sides of grits and toast. I also enjoyed my cheese omlete, hashbrown (shredded potato style browned to my taste) and toast. I highly recommend the pudding (pork) which I ordered as a extra side. Coming from a 'Livermush Dynasty" this was very close to the taste of my family's recipe. But this is made with rice and had a softer texture but was cooked crispy which is my preference. Only complaint is that the entrance/sign is hidden behind trees, so drive slowly when arriving.

Patricia AvinaI had lunch with my grand daughter and great grand daughter there yesterday. It was our first time at this restaurant. I ordered the hamburger steak with gravy and onions, turnips, rutabagas, and macaroni. My grands had the Philly, grilled chicken tenders and fries. All of the food was yummy! The vegetables tasted just like true Southern home cooking and so did the Mac n cheese. We plan to return to this establishment on my next trip to Orangeburg. Also, the staff was very friendly and food was reasonably priced.
