Claudine R.This was a great find during our travels. The Bistro is clean, welcoming, but had a homey feel. The lady hostess was really nice and sweet. And the food was one of the best southern cuisines I’ve had the pleasure to try. The complimentary hush puppies were savory; I could’ve eaten maybe 5 easily. We also tried the gumbo seafood, and it was hearty and full of flavor. It might’ve been Creole style as the roux was light and it had tomatoes. And for my main meal, I had the smothered pork chops; it tasted like Mom made it. Tasty, perfectly seasoned, and rich gravy. The sides were just as good: red rice and collard greens. And BF had the fish tacos; he devoured it and stated it was one of the best fish tacos. We had an unforgettable lunch here, and I can’t wait to go back. And prices?? It’s unbelievable!

Josiah WeaverAbsolute gem of a restaurant. After traveling all day it was a very nice place to sit down and just feel at home. The food was delicious the hush puppies were to die for they tasted right out of my mother’s kitchen. The fried green tomatoes tasted as if they were fresh out of the garden and had the most perfect texture and flavor. I had the snow crab legs with fried okra and collard greens they were absolutely worth every dollar I would give six stars if I was able too,this restaurant will remain in my memory on my trip to Santee. The atmosphere was amazing the waitress made us feel right at home. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you would like to have a good time and a good meal.

Melanie THow the hell did this gem of a restaurant receive only 4.2 rating?! We were visiting from FL & staying at a resort close by. Found this wonderful place & decided to try it...we were so happy we did. We walk in & were welcomed by smiles & positive vibes. Gregory was our server and was amazing. They even brought us their famous & delicious hush puppies as a sweet gesture. I am from the south and never had hush puppies like that! I got their flavorful shrimp tacos , my mom loved their catfish sandwich & we all loved their coleslaw ! Our friend also loved her fish & chips! Omg seriously if you are ever in Santee, SC. You must try this gem cause it truly has the best food, wonderful atmosphere & an amazing staff & chef ! Let's bring this place to the top like it deserves🩷

Lara IngoldA hole in the wall with amazing food. From the outside it doesn’t look like much but the food is so good. Fresh and cooked with love. Fried okra was perfect, catfish good size portion. Crab legs were full of flavor and seasoned well. Came in a butter sauce, seasoned with lemon cajun and whatever else. I am so glad we found this place.

Stephen HarrellA must do. Only minutes off of 95. The best hush puppies ever. The fried green tomatoes and seafood gumbo was also amazing as was the fried shrimp. So reasonably priced and the owners were amazing. Everything cooked fresh to order. Not any further out of your way than a fast food chain and definitely faster, fresher and friendlier.
