emmanuel kwaku boatengI’ve been to Halls Chophouse Nexton for the third or fourth time now, and I can honestly say I’ll definitely be coming back again. It’s a beautiful, upscale restaurant with a great atmosphere, and one of the things I really enjoy is the live band playing in the background while you eat. It adds a nice touch to the whole dining experience without being too distracting. Our server was also great. She seemed like she was fairly new, but honestly, she did a fantastic job. She was friendly, answered all of our questions, and gave us different options when we weren’t sure what to choose. We were hoping to get our favorite wine, the “Ca’Montebello di Scarani Luigi Moscato 2023,” but unfortunately it wasn’t available. She helped us find something similar, and we ended up going with the “Moscato Saracco 2024,” which was a good alternative. If I had one area of constructive feedback, it would be the furniture and some of the decor. For a restaurant at this level and price point, I feel like the chairs are a little underwhelming and could be more comfortable and luxurious. The tables and some of the decorations could also be elevated a bit to better match the overall upscale experience Halls is going for. Overall, though, I really enjoy coming here. Great atmosphere, good food, live music, and excellent service. This was my third or fourth visit, and it definitely won’t be my last!

Bridget L.Bitter-sweet experience. Every time we visit Charleston we go to the 10/10💫 downtown location (6x). This was our first Summerville visit with guests after having raved about Halls (downtown). Well, this location didn't quite match the downtown food or service. Summerville wasn't all bad, but it also wasn't all good. It took over 2.5 hours from start to finish...yikes. Even after Brunch ended and I counted 10 empty tables there was still a looong gap after our appetizers. The WORST part was that the floor manager was standing nearby but never approached us with an apology or assurance. No updates from a waitress too. When our two steaks, burger, and two (burnt) pancake orders finally arrived she along with the servers cheerfully brought our food without any apology. We all waited to give ample time to own up. Finally Nana said the food took long. The initial apology was dismissive so that made it worse (yikes). The follow up apology AND comp for appetizers (delicious fried tomatoes, oysters, etc) did make up for the lack of communication and missing updates. Steaks (10+/10). Appetizers (10/10). Pancakes (2/10). Service (7/10). We'll probably stick with downtown Halls to avoid any sour moments for the cost. 😭Sorry for no pics (No phones during family dinner).
