ZACH RIGSBY*Amazing food, sports-oriented atmosphere, friendly staff & large portions. The food took a bit longer that we thought, but that's no issue, it was well worth the wait. The restaurant was quite busy, though the majority of the customers were phone orders for pick-up. 1 thing that could use some love is the drink fountain: many of the drinks were "out of service" & at least a couple more probably should've been labeled the same way - the drinks were watery with little to no flavor. We'll definitely be back & of the 3 different Philly's we tried, we couldn't pick a favorite.

jalon pattersonI visited Philly Special on Friday with some coworkers, and I have to say—the Philly cheesesteaks and French fries were phenomenal. The customer service was also excellent, especially for a locally owned business. I really enjoy supporting local spots, so we came back again on Tuesday to try their specials and wings, and once again, the food did not disappoint. That said, I do want to offer some constructive feedback. Cleanliness and overall comfort could be improved. The restaurant tends to feel quite warm inside (above 70 degrees), and the carpets at both the entrance and near the register were noticeably sticky, which was a bit off-putting. I also observed a cashier handling cash while wearing the same gloves used to package food, which raises some hygiene concerns. I’m sharing this out of support, because this place has the potential to be truly outstanding in Orangeburg. With a little more attention to cleanliness and customer comfort—especially temperature control—it could easily become a top-tier local favorite.

Laurie PrinceMy husband and I stopped in today. We were visiting Edisto Gardens and looked for a place to have lunch afterward. We saw the menu for Philly Special online and decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint. When you first walk in, you might not be impressed with the aesthetics, but don’t leave. The young men there are so nice, and the food was amazing! I had the Angry Chicken Philly, and my husband had the Shrimp Philly Melt. Delicious! The fries were crisp, tasty, and hot. I really wish we lived closer because if we did, I would be a regular!

Britta MooreStopped by for a quick bite on the way to Charleston and nothing beats finding a local gem like this. Hands down one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve had. Fresh, flavorful, and so many options to choose from. I will be coming back.
