Beware of this business. They were heavily referred to us and we could not have had a worse experience and were met with lies while paying a premium. Gave this feedback and never heard back. Timeline of events. Proposed Start Date: February 2 Estimated Completion Date: February 6 Start date was delayed 1 day due to the snow storm, completely understandable. Work began on Tuesday. On Friday we were told some great news, the job was just about finished and the guys would be back Saturday to do the baseboards and finish. On Saturday, we came by the house and no one was there. We called John and he said the baseboards were a special order and now wouldn't arrive until Tuesday. We then also noticed that the new floors in the rooms were WHITE and did not match the hallway at all. John now told us that on THURSDAY Casey realized the hallway was white oak. The rooms were being installed with Red Oak. I cannot believe we would not have been told THE DAY this important information is discovered. We of course would have just ripped this flooring out and replaced it with the same wood but this information was hidden from us for some reason. We were told not to worry and that this would be fixed and everything will match, as planned. John met with us on Monday and explained again it's different wood and that the timeline would now be delayed. On Tuesday, the team starts adding a tint that would "match" and then left for the day. I check on the rooms Tuesday afternoon and notice massive streaks everywhere and the floors are somehow worse than originally. Once again, we are told not to worry. John also drove to Orangeburg to get the baseboards and told us a few times... so this was a complete lie he was caught in. We were told the job wouldn't finish Saturday and was delayed to Tuesday because these were a special order and delivery. Workers then told us nothing had been purchased and they were at other jobs?! Late Tuesday, John comes back to see the floors and calls us to say they need to redo the rooms and that they will need until Thursday. The hallway won't be touched but all rooms and the hallway will come close to match if we wait. We select a new color to come close to matching. John says he will cover the crown molding replacement and install as compensation. On Wednesday, Casey worked day and night by himself to redo all of the rooms. A lot of respect to him for the very long hours he pulled. Thursday, the floors in the rooms look okay but they in no way come close to matching the hallway. Casey tells us that if the hallway was sanded and stained the same, it would match much more. So why didn't we just redo everything to get us the product we paid for?? The crown molding and trim were also not installed well, there are massive gaps and unaligned cuts that we will now have to also fix. Huge inconveniences and expenses caused by the absolutely terrible communication and lies from Palmetto Floors. The worst part is we now have to live in what feels like an incomplete project that we paid $10k for.

Palmetto Wood Floors refinished my wood floors last week. I am thrilled with the results! My floors look brand new. The old floors were orange with age and badly crowned in some rooms. Now they are all perfectly flat and have a satin water based urethane finish. I did not stain them so my red oak floors look light and fresh. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting to refinish wood floors. It is a lot of prep work but worth it!
