The atmosphere is light, fun and relaxing. The food was delicious! I had a steak fajita that was hot, seasoned perfectly and portioned very well. My daughter ate the Super quesadilla as a meal. Its a large overstuffed beef quesadilla and a mild small "salad" as a side. My husband had the steak and fries. It was cooked how he asked and the fries were hot. I appreciate how polite, welcoming, and helpful the staff was.
Jan 7, 2026 · Google ReviewBeing a new resident to Orangeburg SC, I've been checking out several places to dine. So yesterday with it being Taco Tuesday my godbrother and I who both love Mexican food decided to go and check out El Toro Bar & Grill, the hospitality and service was good. Our server checked on us periodically. I had the Molcajete while my godbrother had the Taco bowl to we were both satisfied with meal.

Sep 19, 2025 · Google ReviewThe food is bland. I was very surprised for a Mexican restaurant to find salsa bland. It's like they just opened a can of tomatoes and put it in a carafe to serve with the tortillas. I used a lot of Cholula hot sauce to spice it up. I asked for a side of black beans, but was brought a plate of refried beans. I looked at the server and stated that this was not black beans feeling quite odd having to speak the obvious. He thwn said that they don't have black beans. Ok, wait!!! A Mexican restaurant that doesn't have black beans. What?! But, then, wait, why did you bring me something that I didn't request. I'm not a fan of refried beans just naked on a plate. It was all just like a Twilight Zone series episode. A Mexican restaurant without spices and no black beans. So I shared a chile rellenos platter with my daughter. They were really greasy, the rice was not Mexican rice, and the refried beans were naked. Again, no spices to taste. Doused this with a great deal of Cholula hot sauce as well. It was more palatable, but ok at best. They ceiling tiles were thickly coated with black dust waving in the breeze of the fans. There was only 1 toilet available for use in a 2 stall women's bathroom. If you are a woman, you know how a line can get started quickly in there. The floors needed to be steam mopped or at least swept. If you are desperate for a quick bland meal, you could try this place. If you want Mexican, i suggest that you try someplace else.
