Bob HintzeAfter a long day of driving, my stay at the Hampton Inn Santee from 5/4–5/5 was exactly what I needed. The room was very clean and well-appointed, featuring a comfortable king-size bed that made for a great night’s sleep. April was especially helpful during check-in, making the arrival process smooth and welcoming after a long day on the road. The rest of the staff were also very hospitable throughout my visit, making the stay enjoyable. I also appreciated the nice breakfast before getting back on the road the next morning. Overall, a great overnight stop with friendly service and comfortable accommodations. I would definitely stay here again.

sherri julianWe decided to stop here driving from New York to Florida. It’s our first time here as we decided to drive a bit further the first night . I saw great reviews, so we gave it a try it out. We personally liked our Hampton Inn Florence much better. This particular hotel wasn’t quite as clean as people have reviewed . Perhaps we just had a room that needed upgrading. There was definetly dirt and wear and tear in the bathroom corners. Also there was a big area of where fresh paint looked to be covering a problem area or perhaps getting ready to paint the room. The service was lovely, especially the breakfast area staff. Overall I wished the hotel was cleaner. We weren’t too fond of the area either. It’s was on the pricey side for a 2 star and all we expect is cleanliness and comfort . It was a miss for us. I don’t think we puke stay here again.

The front desk baking cookies in the evening was such a thoughtful touch.. thank you, Gene! Breakfast was also fantastic! The sweet team of ladies kept everything incredibly clean, perfectly stocked, and paid attention to every detail (the fresh berries were awesome!). This hotel truly stands out for its outstanding customer service. We felt so well taken care of the first time we stayed that we booked a second stay for our travels home.

Coming from a less‑than‑desirable Airbnb, this hotel felt like a welcome reset — clean, consistent, and exactly what I needed. Check‑in was quick, the room was spotless, and every staff member I interacted with was friendly and accommodating. Two things stood out during my stay: the beds and the breakfast. The beds were genuinely comfortable with fresh linens that made it easy to unwind after a long day of travel. The breakfast met all expectations for a quick hotel stop. There was a good variety of options, everything was well‑stocked, and the dining area was clean and easy to navigate. It made starting the morning simple and stress‑free.

Rita ClarkOur room smelled like corn chips and urine. If it wasn’t so late , we would’ve canceled the room and kept driving. The shower was also not cleaned properly. It had to be something in the carpet. Edit: It was at your hotel. Please improve your housekeeping.
