Latoya BrownI visited Sidebar tonight and was extremely disappointed with the customer service I received. As a longtime customer who has been dining at Sidebar for several years, I have never experienced the level of service or professionalism that I encountered tonight. I would like to briefly reference an experience from my visit last week. While I was there, I witnessed a server on the floor discussing a customer and the amount of money the customer had left as a tip. The server appeared upset that the tip was not what she expected, threw the money on the counter, and walked away from the situation. At the time, I found the behavior concerning. After my experience tonight, however, I am beginning to feel that this may be an ongoing issue with the level of professionalism among some of the servers. Tonight, I placed a to-go order, something I have done at Sidebar many times. In the past, I have never had a gratuity automatically added to my to-go orders. I paid with cash, and the server rounded the amount up by an additional dollar. I asked for my change and also requested a receipt because the total seemed higher than I expected. When I received the receipt, I noticed that gratuity had been added automatically. When I asked for an explanation, instead of receiving a professional response or clarification, I felt that the server became defensive and displayed an attitude toward me I told her you all need to advise the customer of the gratuity being added that honestly I was going to tip more. At that point, I asked for my money back. She then went to speak with the same server I had previously witnessed discussing a customer's tip, as well as what appeared to be a manager. My concern is not simply about the money. It is about customer service, professionalism, communication, and how customers are treated. I have been supporting Sidebar for several years, and I have always enjoyed coming there. Unfortunately, the experiences I have had recently have been very different. I understand that there are many new servers, and everyone deserves an opportunity to learn. However, customers should still be treated with respect, and concerns about charges should be addressed professionally rather than with an attitude. I am sharing this because I genuinely value Sidebar as a business and would like to see the quality of service remain consistent with the reputation that originally made me a loyal customer. I hope management will take this feedback seriously and address the concerns regarding customer service and professionalism among the staff. I am disappointed by tonight's experience, but I hope it can be used as an opportunity to improve the customer experience moving forward.

NathanMake sure you ask for Justin he is a top of the line waiter. Side Bar truly sets the gold standard for dining establishments. My dining experiences at Side Bar have been nothing short of exceptional. I've had the pleasure of visiting this establishment several times on my short trip here and each time has been a testament to their commitment to excellence. The food consistently stands out for its exceptional quality, and it arrives at your table with impressive speed. The service has been consistently outstanding, ensuring that every visit is a memorable one. I have tried their brisket sandwich, cheeseburger and chicken wings. All three were outstanding. Cannot wait to go back for more. I highly recommend going to Side Bar if you have not!

Monica LairdJust stopped in for brunch and had a new server, Felicity, that welcomed me to the area. She made recommendations since I am new to this restaurant. She listened to my picky palate and making a great choice. She made sure that my drinks were filled. And had a quirky sense of humor that kept us entertained.
