Low Country Reviewer"Most of these gyms are very clean-looking facilities overall! However, proper gym etiquette isn't always followed. I often see people carrying the same slightly damp paper towel from machine to machine. Doing this actually transfers sweat instead of cleaning it off. Wiping equipment before use is smart, but using a fresh paper towel to clean up your own sweat when you're done is essential. I also asked an employee about the tanning and massage areas, and they confirmed that members are responsible for cleaning the equipment after use because staff does not sanitize them between every person. Knowing the habits on the main floor, you could easily end up using un-sanitized equipment. I highly recommend wiping down tanning beds and massage chairs both before and after use. Although common at most gyms, don't let it discourage you—just a few friendly observations and reminder to look out for our gym community!"
