Faith SousaWe stayed two nights here while visiting Charleston and it was great. Rooms were spotless and very quiet. Beds were comfortable and the AC in our room worked perfectly. It was right off the highways as well so very easy getting to and from anywhere. Cynthia at the front had to have been one of our favorite parts of staying here. She was incredibly friendly and always had the biggest smile on her face when she saw us. We are from Boston and have never experienced “Southern hospitality” but Cynthia really showed us that. So yes the hotel was great, but we’d come back just to see her smiling face. If you are looking for a clean hotel that has a good location and friendly staff, stay here!

Jackie EdwardsLocation was ideal, close to where I needed to be. My sister is in the military, showed her military ID, the front desk person was giving her a hard time because they also wanted her driver's license. Weird. We ordered the rooms with the breakfast, they didn't give us the tickets in check-in. The front desk person, Biancka, told me it was policy to not give the 2 breakfast tickets in advance. Having stayed in numerous Marriotts across the country, I never ran into this. I said ok and as I was going to sit and wait for my food, I see another hotel guest just walk up with his tickets, never having to stop at the front desk. Biancka and I made contact because I knew, and she knew, she was lying. When my sister came down to get her tickets, she then called me up to the desk and said that she asked and was told it was ok to give me my tickets for the next day. Mind you, I'm not scamming. I just paid for mediocre coffee and not good oatmeal. I was just trying to get what we paid for and clarity. Then the lady at the kitchen was just getting my order all the way wrong. Quality of service goes a long way for me.

Devin CobbI recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Charleston North Charleston for three nights. While the property itself is comfortable and in a convenient location, I did experience an issue with housekeeping during my stay. Despite requesting service both with the housekeeper and at the front desk, my room was never cleaned over the course of the stay. On the last night, I brought the issue to the front desk and spoke with Aniya, who was extremely polite, professional, and helpful. She acknowledged the inconvenience and offered a 50% discount for one of the nights, which I appreciated. Her customer service was excellent and she handled the situation as best she could. However, I do feel this was a significant inconvenience that could have been avoided with better follow-through from the staff earlier in the stay. I hope the hotel reviews its communication and housekeeping processes moving forward. Overall, the stay was comfortable and the team member I spoke with was great, but there is room for improvement in service consistency.
