Kelly EngelOur friend recommended us to this vet when we got our first kitten and I cannot recommend them enough! Dr. Gerard and Lois both obviously care very much. Anytime something arises they have made time for us to make sure our cats get the care they need. I love the honesty this vet has, it never feels like they are trying to oversell or make you do unnecessary things but just want you need to have a happy healthy pet. The advice we have gotten from Dr. Gerard has been indispensable to me and my husband in our kitten journey.

NeutralWitchGlendaHands down the best vet in Sumter in my opinion. Thorough, professional, knowledgeable; excellent “bedside manner”. They obviously love animals and what they do and it shows. Dr. G explains things in an easy to understand manner and will even show pictures from vet care books to help explain what you’re seeing on your pet. They are thoughtful and compassionate and just everything you would want in veterinary care. 10/10? No! 100/100!!! Five stars!!!

Sam HThe biggest thank you to the Advanced Veterinary team. Our poor cat woke up from a nap, trembling from pain at 5 pm. Before 6 PM, my cat had pain medicine administered with a follow-up plan for the next day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I am incredibly thankful for her examination, as Dr.Gerard quickly found the source of pain and noticed clues of a food allergy that previous vets had missed. Gratefully, my cat received treatment for pain and her new diagnosis before the long (and stressful) 4th of July weekend. After examination she was back to the fun happy cat we had before she was experiencing symptoms. We just moved into town and will be making sure to keep our fur family with Advanced Veterinary Hospital.
