Striper
Stripers are starting to make their spring.
Run up to the Santee River systems to spawn. Fishing will be good in the diversion canal and around low falls/pack landing. Anchor up and fish with live and cut herring on the bottom.
Bass
The bite on the cooper river has been good. Slip cork with live shiners on the falling tide in the rice field breaks and grass lines of the river have been putting big numbers of bass in the boat.
Bream
We are still catching lots of big bream on 30-35 ft brush piles. Tight line crickets or small pieces of shrimp. The bite on the cooper river and Santee river has also been good. Fish the breaks and deep points on the cooper and standing amd submerged structure on the Santee.
Crappie
The Crappie are staged up in all depths. Slow Trolling and live scoping in 12-20 ft of water is doing real good. Small Charlie Brewer Slider curly tail jigs in dark colors are working the best. Some fish are already around the trees and grass in 3-5 ft. Jigging these areas work the best.
Catfish
The cats are in the shallows in 6-8 ft. Anchor up in the stump fields or around cypress trees. Fish with cut shad and herring.
Shellcracker
Catching good numbers of shellcracker pre spawn on the edges of the grass and in the lily pads in 5-8 ft of water. Red worms is the bait of choice.
