Lee JohnsonAll the cats running freely is a bit sketchy. Washing machines need some serious attention. Only 2 out of 5 work. Do like that they receive mail and packages. They also have a limited amount of food stuff. The grounds are well maintained. Just a problem with fire ants at the sights.

ChrisWe booked here with short notice on labor day weekend. Read quite a lot of negative reviews and became a little concerned. Those concerns turned out to be irrelevant. Staff: prepared for our arrival, friendly and welcoming. Camping Park: whilst the location is not the best, it’s not a negative point. All the services we used were in great condition and the RV sites well kept. Trash is collected twice a day, we had no ant, but or animal issues. Whilst cats were on the park, it didn’t impact us and we only saw them when walking around. Access: we came in with a 47ft 5th wheel and were worried about access. The worry was invalid. The park has great access from the highway and in the park for big rigs. We asked for a pull through with easy access and they looked after us. After walking around the site, I believe we could have gotten into almost all the sites, pull through or back in. Store: keep all the basic items you may need when camping with reasonable prices. Walmart is only 15 minutes away but the items in the store are competitively priced for the convenience. Surrounding area: lots to do for both adults and kids. Would we return to this KOA on our next trip to Charleston? Yes.

D HillmanUpdate 7/7/2026 This KOA has improved since 5 years ago. Cleaned up, a little more gravel (could used more to cover the mud). Salt water pool. Lawn is looking good and well kept. There are a lot of permanent residents but they are in the back. No accumulated junk very nicely kept. Full hookups WiFi spotty. Pricy at $73 a night. 5 years ago: Best KOA we have stayed in so far. They received an extra star just for the staff. They were very helpful accommodating and responsive to concerns. Most sites are pretty close together but for KOA they are above average. Campground is well kept we had 50amp water sewer and cable. They have a swimming pool and garbage service at your rig. Enough room to maneuver big rigs. Pricey at a little over $70 a night with 10% discount. I'm not sure how that compares for the area.
