Roshonda NdebumaduI stopped by Mini Mart while visiting family in South Carolina, and the market itself was excellent! I live in Massachusetts now, but I've learned to cook a few Jamaican dishes from friends there, so I was happy to find a place that had everything I needed to make them at home. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the restaurant side didn't live up to my expectations. The cabbage was the standout, it was delicious! However, none of the three meals we ordered came with plantains, the rice and peas lacked the coconut flavor I'm used to, and while the curry looked the part, the taste just wasn't there. I really wanted to love the food because the people were so welcoming and the market was so well stocked. I'm hoping that on my next trip back to South Carolina, I'll try a different dish and have a better experience.

Eddie morrisThe store side is excellent, the restaurant has me suspect. Ordered Oxtail entree and curry goat $19.99 and $14.99 plus tax respectively. Was not impressed with the portion for the oxtail price. Mostly bone and small pieces. Additionally, my curry goat was scrapping from the bottom of the pan (I watched it) then warmed up in the microwave which means it was sitting there for sometime. Would have expected more cabbage as well, since it is an inexpensive side. Not saying the food was bad but quantity of the main entree should be addressed. I would fair better buying my own and using the seasonings from the store.

Toni SSmall Caribbean grocery store - the people that work in this store are from the Caribbean and all very helpful when I asked questions about the food items sold there. You can get things such as jerk seasonings, fresh Irish moss, soursop, and many other items used in the Caribbean culture. On the other side of the grocery store , soon as you walk in, is a small restaurant that has meals that are well known in Jamaica. I stopped in to pick up an oxtail meal plate for dinner. We have had it many times before and it is always great. The food was good today also. I feel it is one of the best Jamaican places in the Charleston area. Accessible parking is available .

Mrs. SotoSoup on Saturday is a tradition, their chicken soup is amazing. The food is outstanding. The best place to for real authentic Jamaican foods, drinks and seasoning💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲💯💯💯💯💯
