mark yaunMy wife and I took a 3 and 1/2 hour road trip from our home to this restaurant located on the shore Lake Moultrie located an hour north of Charleston, South Carolina. The restaurant building itself is fairly unassuming as far as the outside appearance and little bit more to decor on the inside. The covered back dining area facing the lake is what mates the decor specia Lake Moultrie is huge, 14 miles across . With a 290 something mile shoreline and you're sitting at your table on that back covered area it looks like you're at the ocean, just a beautiful view boats coming and going. The food was delicious and well prepared I had Ahi Tuna sprinkled with white and black sesame seeds and two slices of fried green tomato and an Asian dressing drizzled over the top (slightly sweet) somewhat like a Thai chili sauce . I also had a basket of gator bites to go along with the Ahi tuna as a bit of a counterpoint My wife had a catfish bites with fries we both had housemade ranch dressing for dipping which was very thick creamy and very tasty our server was very attentive and friendly but not overly so. The view from our table was very beautiful other than not having that ocean smell, the view was very reminiscent of being at the seaside The breeze was creating small white caps on the water as the boats came and went. The sky and water were very blue, and the white clouds overhead created a very relaxing scene. The price range is moderate but not very out of character for quality of food and the beautiful scenery, it was definitely worth the drive and we definitely plan on coming back, if you're in that area of South Carolina is definitely worth a stop for lunch or dinner and they have live music in the evenings My wife and I both enjoyed the food and the scenery very much.

Shea ButterWe visited this restaurant on Father’s Day, and let me tell you, I can’t wait to come back! As someone that’s currently pregnant I’m always skeptical of the restaurants I go to, but after hearing nothing but good things about this place I had to visit for myself. We had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, and she was absolutely amazing. You can truly tell she cares about the quality of the food served to her guests. Our waitress was wonderful as well. I can’t remember her name, but she was fairly new, and you could tell she genuinely loves what she does. She kept our drinks refilled and made sure to keep us updated on the status of our food whenever she could.We ordered the shrimp, catfish, crab cakes, steak bites, fried okra, and a baked potato, and everything was phenomenal. The sweet tea was amazing as well. The food arrived hot, fresh, and full of flavor. And I have to mention the green beans that came with the steak bites, they were absolutely heavenly! I would recommend this place to anyone. It’s truly a hidden gem. If you’re in the Bonnau area, do yourself a favor and stop by. The views are beautiful, the service is exceptional, and the food is outstanding. You won’t be disappointed!
