We purchased a gift certificate for four riding lessons ($60 each) for our daughter this past Christmas. She attended three lessons and truly enjoyed working with Tabitha. Unfortunately, on the day of her fourth lesson, our daughter came home sick from school. We called Tabitha to reschedule the evening lesson—especially given the freezing 29-degree weather—but were told that per the contract, the lesson could not be moved and the $60 fee was forfeited. While we take responsibility for not scrutinizing the contract during the holiday rush, we find this lack of flexibility regarding a sick child to be poor business practice. We would have loved to continue long-term with this instructor, but due to the rigid "no-reschedule" policy, we will be looking elsewhere.
