Quiet and peaceful camp ground very friendly full timers there good fishing the only recommendation I would make is the bath houses need some updating and cleaning and the pier needs to be repaired so that you can use it but other than that I really enjoyed the quiet

First time here. We didn't stay but they have a nice setup here with plenty of camping space. We came for the great fishing opportunity. The fish was biting slow but we still had a great fishing experience.

It was a good family fishing trip to Lake Marion. The rooms were very spartan as expected and thats OK. Having to walk to a bathhouse/restroom is acceptable if thats what you sign up for, but the bathhouse was really gross to where you didn't even want to even touch anything. Not cool. The dock was also in extremely poor condition with no bumpers or tie off cleats. It could be a nice place with a little TLC. The operators are wonderfully nice and all that, but seem to be mainly focused on long term RV spaces on the property. The 300ft fishing dock is also closed due to being unsafe/dilapidated. I will spend more money next time and do a bit more detailed research.

The cabin was great, no bugs inside which was awesome being by the lake in the woods i was happily surprised. Cool view to sit outside on the picnic table at every cabin to enjoy breakfast (bring your own camp stove, cabin has microwave and mini fridge with separate compartment real freezer top that actually works). Community shower/toilrt area. The pier is closed i was told, but saw a couple guys fishing the dock. Used the boat launch for a 24ft pontoon boat.

I rented a cabin over Labor Day weekend 2023. Cabin was spacious and had two sets of bunk beds, a table for four, microwave, mini fridge and A/C. The cabin was close to the water which made launching our canoe super easy and a small porch that faced the water. Bathrooms were a short walk away and had a shower. Cleanliness was not bad. It’s a campground bathroom after all. There is a game room with pool tables, arcade games, washer and dryer, juke box and tv. No change machine so bring quarters. Miss Alice and Mr Gary are very hospitable people. They run a small store with a decent selection of fishing gear and tackle. They have a decent, but small, variety of various food items and other things you may need for camping. The dock is not new but a good place to fish from and all the other fisherman are very friendly just like the other campers we met while we were there. The location is remote but that is what makes this place so serene. There is a dollar general about 10 minutes away in the small town of Pinewood if you need something not in the campground store.
