Absolutely wonderful! We stayed here for one night on our road trip to Boston, and it was one of the best decisions we made. This hotel truly feels like a time capsule. The moment we walked in, it felt like we had stepped back in time. It’s incredibly peaceful, quiet, and cozy, the perfect place to unwind after a long drive or simply escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the room stayed at the perfect temperature even during the summer heat, and breakfast was absolutely delicious and filling. I highly recommend this hotel, even if you’re just looking for a peaceful getaway for a couple of days to relax, slow down, and enjoy a good book. It’s a truly special place, and we’ll definitely be back!
Jul 29, 2026 · Google ReviewStaying at 1912 Bed and Breakfast was an amazing experience. The proximity to our downtown events was convenient. Communication with Tracey and Tommy was great and they were very helpful in providing local recommendations. The house is beautifully redone and the room was exceptionally clean. There were many offerings for breakfast and it was so delicious. If ever needing a place to stay in Sumter again, 1912 Bed and Breakfast will be the first place I look. Thanks for having us!
Jul 13, 2026 · Google ReviewStayed 2 nights here while traveling for vacation. Felt like I was stepping back into time- loved it! We stayed in the Blue Room- it was like a page out of a magazine. The wallpaper, decor…fabulous. It was incredibly clean and cool. Took advantage of the extra fan in the room as we enjoy sleeping in a meat locker. Location was quiet and great option if you’re looking for an affordable option that isn’t a cookie cutter hotel. Would stay here again, hands down.
Jun 23, 2026 · Google ReviewTracey was a welcoming hostess and made us feel right at home. The historic house is furnished with lovely antiques but has all the modern amenities you might need. There are plenty of seating areas inside and outside. Our bedroom was the blue room. It was a large room with a comfortable bed and seating. There is not an attached bathroom but there is a private bathroom just down the hall. There was soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion provided and the water pressure was great. There are robes provided as well as a hairdryer. |Tommy cooked a delicious breakfast that included bacon, eggs, grits and biscuits with sausage gravy. Cereal, toast and yogurt were also available. Staying at 1912 Bed and Breakfast was an enjoyable experience, a great value and a welcome change from hotel chains.

Jun 7, 2026 · Google ReviewThis bed and breakfast is beyond amazing. When I was looking at it, it seemed to good to be true, but it really is everything that all these reviews promise. The home is beautiful and historic, and the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The hosts were so nice and they went out of their way to be welcoming and friendly. I stayed in the Spring Room, which has a beautiful private balcony that looks out onto the front yard through the pillars. If you stay in this room, definitely be aware that there is no private climate control in this room to make it cooler (however, you can make it warmer!). I can't recommend this place enough!
May 25, 2026 · Google ReviewBeautiful, clean, friendly, walkable. 24/7 coffee and tea, includes breakfast. Great hosts.
May 2, 2026 · Google ReviewThe high ratings speak for themselves. As a woman traveling solo, I felt completely safe and warmly welcomed by Tracey and Tommy. Tracey's breakfast spread is so much better than anything you will find at a chain hotel and varied each morning. The whole house is beautiful and thoughtfully appointed with antiques and just the right amount of modern finishes. I appreciated the floor warmer and towel warmer in the Romance Room. I highly recommend staying here while visiting Sumter.
Mar 31, 2026 · Google ReviewWhat a gem! Tracey, the owner, was super friendly and helpful. Everything is very clean and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Despite it's proximity to streets and businesses, it was quiet and peaceful. Parking is on-site and private. We would definitely return; one of the top B&B we've been to.
