Aliyah CharlotIt's nice for what it is: a memorial. The park part comes second. There's no official trail, but there's enough space to make for a decent walk. Other than walking your dog or reading the 2 historic signs, there isn't really anything else to do. Which is fine.

Chris TopherGeneral Thomas Sumter and his wife Mary Canty Jameson, along with his son Thomas Sumter Jr. and his wife Natalie De Lage Sumter, are interred here. We had a great time reading and learning about this famous general. Picnic tables are there for your enjoyment.

Tomilynn ClarkThis is a well cared for historic site that was definitely updated in the past few years. When I was growing up this park was on the same street of my childhood home. Thomas Sumter’s history is very long and very interesting. He is the original “The Fighting Gamecock.” It’s a quick stop if you go through so take a look.

Mac McCormick IIIA small, well kept park featuring the grave of American Revolution military leader Thomas Sumter, The Gamecock. If you're into the History of the American Revolution, the Southern Campaign in particular, it's worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Sara MiskinA humbled and hallowed ground. Very easy to find thanks to signs. It looked fairly maintained and beautiful flags had been put out for Memorial Day honoring General Thomas Sumter
