Santee Indian Mound and Fort Watson Site
The site where a British outpost that was built on top of a 30 ft. Indian ceremonial mound. The Patriots captured it by building a tower that was taller then the mound. Located at the Santee National Wildlife Refuge

I always love checking out Indian mounds, but it's even better when it has historical significance to it, like here where there was a Revolutionary War fort built on top. Nice informative markers and a nice stop along the Liberty Trail. Would recommend checking out.
