My three-month stay in a cabin at Relaxed Retreat at Carolina King Campground was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, it felt like the perfect balance between a peaceful getaway and a comfortable place to stay long-term. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and well maintained, making it easy to settle in and feel at home for an extended stay. One of the things that really stood out was how friendly and welcoming the staff were. They were always approachable, helpful, and genuinely cared that guests had a good experience. That kind of hospitality makes a big difference, especially during a longer stay. Another highlight was just how quiet and peaceful the property is. Whether it was enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or unwinding in the evening, the calm atmosphere made it incredibly relaxing. It’s the kind of place where you can truly slow down and recharge. After spending three months there, I can confidently say it’s a special spot. If you’re looking for a comfortable cabin stay with friendly people and a quiet, relaxing environment, I highly recommend Relaxed Retreat at Carolina King Campground. I will absolutely stay here again!

Booked this venue for our 45th class reunion. The rooms were nice, the scenery was beautiful and the service was great. I have no real complaints but there’s always room for improvement. My only recommendation would be to make sure the bunk beds/sheets are also changed and clean of spider webs. I mean we are in the cabins so this is not uncommon but I did notice a few in the lofts. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I recently stayed at Relaxed Retreat Carolina King’s, and honestly, the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such kindness, warmth, and genuine hospitality that it never once felt like we were away from home. During our stay, I had a minor injury, and the level of care and attentiveness the staff showed truly meant a lot to me. Their compassion and willingness to help spoke volumes about the kind of people they are. You could instantly feel the peace, love, and relaxation this place offers the moment you step onto the property. As a Marine Combat Veteran, finding a place where I can truly relax, reset mentally, and feel at peace is rare — but this place gave me exactly that. I spent time catching bass, grilling good food, enjoying the outdoors, and making some genuinely amazing friends along the way. Those memories will stay with me for a long time. The best part is knowing this won’t be our last visit. Next time — and there will absolutely be a next time — I plan on bringing my kids. If all goes as planned, this may become our annual end-of-school family tradition. I truly love this place. Now all I need is a Jon boat to make the experience feel even more like home.

The new owners are amazing and super nice. cabin was clean and comfortable. The AC kept the place cool. Located right on Jacks Creek which is a popular area for fishing on Santee. Couldn’t ask for much else. Oh and the Front office sells great breakfast biscuits! 10/10 recommend.

Just spent a few days at Relax Retreat and my wife and I really enjoyed it. The natural beauty of the location is awesome and the staff is super friendly. We brought our dog and it is one of best places for pups with a dog park and plenty of hiking trails close by. The cabin we stayed in was very clean and comfortable and equipped with everything thing you could need for a great vacation. We will definitely come back soon.
