Jill NortonWe came here to launch kayaks with TriCounty Bluewater Float Trips. A free parking area provides easy drive up for trailers, quiet water assists easy launch for paddlers. There is no bathroom facilities.

Jim LaneIt's seems like a place from a quiet movie setting where love is in the air on a summer evening. It's not the greatest spot to watch sunsets. Sunset light and views for photography are beautiful across the water. Dawn is almost majestic as your love for the water is highlighted by a beautiful dawn. It's a small public landing with a private feel where you can take a date and watch the stars. It's when the sun is coming up. That is something everyone should see. Each sunrise is a once in a life time event. They are never the same. Each an original for that days begining. Some have said I took some great pictures. Truth is, all I did was push a button the location at Cathead and Dawn, did all the rest. I could only watch in amazement as a majestic sunrise was unfolding before my eyes. The different stages from dark to sun up are hard to describe in a sentence. One word adjectives are what comes to mind. Such as, beautiful, breath-taking, glorious, stunning, tranquil, invigorating, radiant, golden, art, love, serene, peaceful, it's energy for your soul.

Stephanie SmithGreat place to park and get in the lake! We took the kayaks out so we didn't actually use the boat ramp. It was busy with boats so we just slipped the Yaks in off to the side a bit. We had several nice hours on the lake paddling around the trees. There are a ton of turtles living in the area we were at. So cool!!
