Darryl PressleyThis is a great golf course that is reasonably priced. It's only $12.00 to walk and play 9. The parking lot seems tight but there's just enough space for the usual crowd. The Links of Lakewood is really decent and the cart path weaves through a well kept upper middle-income subdivision. Pros: The fairways and greens look as good or better as any other in a humid agricultural climate. Cons: The driving range needs improvement. The course itself is a tough mental challenge because the approach shots require serious skill if you're pin seeking like "Two Gloves" Gainey. Tommy Gainey (The Big Break/PGA) holds the course record with a 59. But, if you want the Glove's record but miss a few fairways and follow it up with a couple of errant greens or short a few putts, don't take it personally. I've heard some hilarious existential meltdowns out here that a therapist couldn't even fix. Also, if you decide to walk 18 holes, be warned—it is brutal in the summer Carolina heat. I wouldn't advise walking it these days. Try to get an early morning or late afternoon tee time, or just wait until the triple-digit heat index is long gone.

TBP Services, IncNot a fancy country club but, the fairways are good and greens are very good. Bunkers could be turned over but acceptable as is. We’ve driven there 4 times over the past couple of years and were never disappointed.

Hunter MannPretty good golf course, though kind of hit or miss with the sprinklers. Sometimes they don’t get cut on for days and course is the Sahara desert. Sometimes they are cut on every day and course is pure. Sometimes they are cut on during your round and you are soaked. Lakewood the clubhouse cat is a g.
