So, you're looking for a challenge, a change of pace, and something to do rather than think about work, politics, or world disasters? Is that right? Well, Beech Creek Golf Course has your number! If the kid in your old body wants to play hide-and-go-seek, the pars are hiding in plain sight—but guess what? So are the birdies. If you think for one moment that there are no optical illusions, check again (wink, wink). Trust me: club up, or rather, take an extra club on your approach. If you are pin-seeking, forget about it. Just put the ball on the putting surface—somewhere, anywhere, as long as it is where the grass is expensive.

Beech Creek has a great layout to it. The staff was great and my family and I had a nice time playing the course. My main complaint is the condition of the greens, which it did look like groundskeeping staff was actively working to try and correct. The greens were sanded and in rough condition. This made them inconsistent hole to hole. When the greens are fixed, I would gladly return.

This is a good, challenging course. The greens were well maintained. The course, overall, was worth playing. Even the areas under repair or renovation were virtually unnoticeable.
