Douglas PlachyCurrently visiting the US from my home in Germany and wanted to try some southern barbecue. On the way south on I-95, found this place with fairly good reviews so thought I’d give it a try. It’s a little way from the Interstate, but only about 15 minutes, and worth the drive. The food was very good. The ribs were so tender the meat literally fell off the bone. Great flavor. There are several sauces to choose from. A vinegar-based, a cm mustard-based, and their traditional sauce that they sell. This last one was wonderful and didn’t distract from the flavor of the meat, but enhanced it. In addition to the ribs, I also had a side of fried catfish. It was also very tasty. My daughter and my son-in-law had the pulled pork. They were complimentary of it as well. We are going to order a quart of their banana pudding to take back to Savannah with us. P.S. Chris was our server. A very kind/nice lady.

Ari CharlesThis is the best bbq experience I have had ever. A pork rind came with the rib meal. 10/10. Biscuits are 10/10. Smoked chicken meal, 10/10. Fried pork chop 10/10. All the food 10/10. I don't like bananas. Banana pudding. You guessed it 10/10. My phone def didn’t eat first. The tea and lemonade, homemade. Highly suggest you get out here to Sweatman's and eat some real Lowcountry bbq. Thank you Chris for taking care of us while we bussed down on some real good eats.🫶🏼

CurlysueHappened to stop in during an off peak time. Staff was so nice and service was prompt. The restaurant is very spacious, very clean & food is yummy. Left overs for sure. Love the huge tree outside being that it seems so many old trees are being torn down anymore. Would definitely stop in again when in the area.

Matthew PeavyI have heard about this place for most of my life. Finally went to try it. It was 100$ including tip for 3 plates and 2 drinks. It's not the worst bbq I've ever had but it's not what everyone said it was. They don't have a buffet. Wouldn't make an hour drive again for it.
