Welcome to Santee Cooper Country. This commission was  created by the South Carolina Legislature in 1968 and is the official regional tourism office promoting Berkeley, Calhoun, Clarendon, Orangeburg and Sumter Counties. We are governed by an 11 member board that is appointed by the Governor upon recommendations from the legislative delegations from our five counties.
Santee Cooper Visitors Center
Our visitors center is located at 9302 Old Number 6 Hwy in Santee (one mile east of I-95).  The center is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday - Sunday.  In the center you will find information on things to do and see in our five county region as well as information on the entire state.
